Our Kahaani !

started by two friends who have their roots in india but their dreams in melbourne — we’ve been sharing curries, arguing over who makes the best biryani, and spilling chai on the table for years.

we miss our mothers’ kitchens, so we’re always calling home. hours have been spent on the phone scribbling down family recipes, swapping stories about long festive nights, and talking about our love for india’s regional flavours. there was a hunger to find authentic recipes from all over india, so we travelled, tasted, and discovered inspiring regional food. now, we bring those stories and flavours to the table in melbourne.

kahaani is born from that love. an ode to the home cooks of every state, to the bustling bazaars and railway stations, and to our mothers and grandmothers who would scold us for snacking before dinner and then load our plates anyway.
